Ltd., located in Aundh. The arrest came after a raid was conducted based on a complaint lodged by Perfect Anti-Piracy Firm.
The accused, Manish Suresh Keswani (34) and Anand Suresh Keswani (29), both residents of Baner Park Society and directors of the firm, were taken into custody Monday evening following the discovery of pirated CorelDRAW software and obscene video clips stored on office computers.

Charges Filed:
– IPC Section 292 (Obscene material possession)
– IPC Section 420 (Cheating)
– IT Act, 2000 Sections 65 & 67
– Copyright Act, 1957 Sections 63(b) & 64
Filed by: Yogesh Sadashiv Jagdale, a field executive with Perfect Anti-Piracy Firm. According to Jagdale, several software companies had reported the illegal use of their software by the firm.
Police Sub-Inspector Manisha Dhamne confirmed that three computers were seized during the raid and were found to be running unlicensed, pirated versions of software.
Interesting development, but I have a few thoughts and questions. Why did it take so long for someone to notice the pirated software in such a prominent firm? It seems like a lapse in oversight that could have been addressed earlier. Also, the presence of obscene material is concerning—was this content related to their work or purely personal? I wonder how the employees or clients of Mak Media are reacting to this scandal—has it affected their reputation in the industry? It’s surprising to see such high-profile individuals involved in piracy, especially in advertising where originality is key. What do you think this case says about the prevalence of piracy in creative industries? And do you believe stricter measures are needed to curb such practices? Would love to hear your perspective on this!
