Pune Advertising Firm Directors Arrested for Pirated Software and Obscene Content. In a shocking development, Pune police arrested two brothers, Manish Keswani (34) and Anand Keswani (29) — directors of Mak Media & Creations Pvt. Ltd — for allegedly using pirated software and storing obscene videos on company computers.

The arrests were made following a complaint by Perfect Anti-Piracy Firm. Field Executive Yogesh Jagdale reported that CorelDRAW software was being used without a valid license. Acting on this intel, the Chaturshringi police raided the office around 6 PM on Monday. Approximately 15-20 employees were present during the raid.

- Section 292 IPC: Possession of obscene material
- Section 420 IPC: Cheating
- Section 65, 67 IT Act: Data tampering and transmission of obscene content
- Section 63(b), 64 Copyright Act: Use of pirated software
Police Sub-Inspector Manisha Dhamne confirmed that three computers were seized. During forensic checks, not only was pirated CorelDRAW found installed, but also obscene video clips, leading to further legal complications.
The suspects were produced before Judicial Magistrate P.K. Deshpande, who remanded them in police custody until July 1 for further investigation.
